INTRODUCTION

Our main focuses include learning how to be assistant/s to the church, the Pastor and making sure the service goes smooth. Moreover, Ushers must be familiar with how to greet people while at the door, being gracious, welcome and have a smile while handling out the Church bulletins. If truth be told Ushers are there to insure that both new visitors and regular worshipers feel warmly welcome and safe. For that reason their smiles and sense of hospitality will play a crucial role in helping others experience the power and the hospitality of our Lord Jesus Christ. More indispensable, the position of ‘door-keeping’ (as some say) was a significant office in the Old Testament practice; a position of great trust and humanity.
